The Kensington & Chelsea Foundation was the beneficiary of an online and offline art auction held in the City to raise funds for the families affected by the Grenfell fire. Art works were donated from the London artist community with Bonhams and NatWest co-sponsoring the event. Supporters could bid for art works on the DONATE platform in the weeks leading up to the live event. Payments for online and in-room bids were taken and processed by DONATE as the hammer came down.
How DONATE™ was used
Susan Dolton, Director at the Kensington & Chelsea Foundation, said “The Art4Grenfell auction raised much needed funds for the families affected by the tragedy of the Grenfell fire last year. We were delighted to be able to benefit from the National Funding Scheme’s DONATE platform. Their combined online auction system and payment platform ensured we both raised more money, kept costs low and were highly efficient in collecting the funds.”
